LLUX

LLUX is a band fronted by Canadian songwriter Lindsay Thomson, born and raised in the Northern town of Kenora, Ontario. The band’s sound blends indie rock and power pop, Thomson expressing herself through honest lyrics and guitar driven songs. New to the Winnipeg music scene, Lindsay has been working on a debut EP ‘The Drive,’ set for release this spring.

Mitchell Mozdzen

Mitchell Mozdzen is a Blues/Rock musician from Brandon, Manitoba. After picking up the guitar at the age of 7 He’s had a hard time putting it down. Mitchell has 4 EPs under his belt and is always working on making more music. Recently Mitchell has started writing about indigenous affairs. At the Indigenous Music Residency, we got together in a hotel room to laugh, talk about local idols and mentors Joey Landreth, Stephen Carroll and Murray Pulver, Mitchell’s writing process and how GREAT his recent musical journey has been.

Kumaran Reddy from Cilly Cyb Fung High came onto the Winnipeg Music Project after meeting him at the WitchPolice Radio Big Mix Up series. He shared his story about growing up and moving to Manitoba at a young age and learning to love rock music and the magic of improvisation. Kumaran is well versed in any genre you can think of and has many wonderful stories about his involvement in the Winnipeg music community.

Josh and Josh from June Killing Stones

The twenty-sixth episode of the Winnipeg Music Project with Josh and Josh from the indie rock band June Killing Stones. This was a crazy fun and exciting interview with lots of tangents and goofy conversations. We had a lot of fun talking about they're recently release EP "Little Portents".
